Blimey! it's ages since I updated this site and loads of things have happened in the last couple of months. The Missouri Gutts have finally released our debut CD, entitled "Gutted" it's a mix of origianl self-penned songs and some traditional folk songs. There are 14 tracks and It sells for a mere 5 pounds. Available from members of the band and at gigs and open-mic sessions. We've got a few gigs coming up and the best place to find out about those is at our MySpace site at
www.myspace.com/missourigutts. We had a very successful Sweeps Festival on the May bank holiday weekend, playing 3 sets and then a gig down at the BBarnaby Rudge in Broadstairs. There's also a video of the Gutts at the Sweeps Festival on the MySpace site as well, plus another video from the latest Clattershack open mic session at the Crown in Chislehurst when we invited John and Ross to play some harp with us.
There's a new American music club opened in Sevenoaks called the Flying Burrito Club. It takes place on the last Thursday of the month at the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks. A band called "Society" were the inaugural act and they were bloody good. Resident support artist is our good friend Ty Watling and he played a great set of some of his own songs including one of my favourites "Fruitful Harvest" which I'd posted on my Rust-E-Can Myspace site a while back. Acts to look forward to at the Flying Burrito are The Carrivick Sisters on 24th June, Otis Gibbs on 22 July and The Curst Sons ( who I am personally looking forward to very much ) on September 30th.
